Best way to ring in the new year?

new year's day ride

On your bike, riding with the BTA and friends on the annual New Year’s Day Ride. Enjoy a fun, friendly ride on mostly-empty streets and sip on something hot to drink at the end.

Ride leader Carl Larson tells us he’s “90% certain” about the following details.

-The ride will be about 16 miles long and will move at a very mellow pace
-The theme will be “playspots” (fatter tires suggested if you plan on playing)
-There’ll be hot drinks provided and tasty food for sale at our destination
-The ride will not be a loop (but trains run frequently back to startpoint)

Also:
-Portland Wheelmen Touring Club will have their ride at 10 again this year and plans to be back in time to join our ride

Finally:
- It’s FREE
- Meet at noon at underneath the west end of the Morrison Bridge (Waterfront Park)
