When then-mayor Bud Clark rode his bike to work at City Hall in the 1980s, he was on the leading edge of the movement to make bicycling a legitimate means of transportation. Last week, riding the Zoobomb route with the winners of the hottest auction item at the BTA’s 2011 Alice Awards, Bud was still the first and fastest down the hill.
The ride was generously donated by the former Portland Mayor to support the BTA’s work to make bicycling safe, convenient, accessible, and fun.
