Whoop, whoop! Pedalpalooza is almost here, and former mayor Bud Clark will be leading a bicycle tour of Portland’s public art.
The ride — cosponsored by the BTA and the Regional Arts and Culture Council — is dubbed “Expose Yourself to Art” after the 1978 photograph of the same name, which depicts Clark apparently exposing himself to a bronze statue. Naturally, this statue, among others, will be included in the tour.
Riders should plan to meet in the mezzanine of the Portland Building (1120 SW Fifth Avenue) at 5:30pm, but the tour won’t begin until 6pm. The event will conclude with a visit to Bud’s old stomping grounds, the Goose Hollow Inn, where riders can relax, enjoy an IPA, and buy the brand new “Expose Yourself to Bikes” poster.
Hope to see you there!
